1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

• Account information. Your first and last name, email address, password and telephone number.
• Home search preferences. Your desired location, price range, property type, size, features, must-have and must-not-have requirements, and renovation preferences.
• Financial preferences. Your budget, anticipated down payment, payment and loan type, pre-approval status, and whether you are working with a real estate agent. We do not collect bank account numbers, credit reports or Social Security numbers.
• Property addresses. Addresses you submit to be scored or analyzed.
• Activity and feedback. Properties you save or decline, the reasons you provide, ratings, and questions you submit to our AI assistant.
• User content. Posts and comments you publish in our community features, which may be visible to other users.
• Communications. Your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter, and any messages you send to us.
• Payment information. When you purchase a plan or report, your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Information collected automatically

• Usage information. The pages and screens you view, the steps you complete, and the date and time of your activity.
• Device and log information. Browser type, error logs and request timestamps.
• Identifiers. A randomly generated identifier stored in your browser, and a one-way hashed form of your IP address that we use to prevent fraud and abuse. We do not retain your IP address in readable form for this purpose.

Information from other sources

We obtain property information — such as listing details, public tax and sales records, permit records, and flood, environmental and school data — from public records and third-party data providers. This information describes properties, not you. We may also receive confirmation from our verification provider that you have verified your telephone number.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate and maintain the Services, including identifying, ranking and scoring properties that match your preferences;
• create and administer your account, verify your email address and telephone number, and process your purchases;
• generate property reports, summaries and responses to your questions, including through artificial intelligence tools;
• connect you with a real estate agent or broker when you request it;
• send you transactional messages and, where permitted, newsletters and other communications;
• detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activity;
• analyze usage and improve, test and develop the Services; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information in the following circumstances:

• Real estate agents and brokers, at your request. If you ask to be connected with a real estate agent or broker, we will share your name, contact information, and home search and financial preferences with the agent or brokerage we connect you with, so that they can contact you. We may receive a fee or other compensation for this referral. We do not share your information with agents or brokers unless you request a connection.
• Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting and database services; Twilio (telephone verification by text message); Mapbox (location search and maps); the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (address verification); property data providers; artificial intelligence service providers; email delivery providers; Microsoft Clarity (website analytics); and Stripe (payment processing). When we request property data, we send the property address or search area, not your name, email address or telephone number. Our artificial intelligence providers receive your home search preferences and the questions you submit in order to generate responses.
• Legal compliance and protection. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of GoldenWay, our users or others.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
• With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
• Aggregated or de-identified information. We may share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

We do not sell or share personal information with advertising networks, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

4. Sale of Personal Information

Under some state privacy laws, providing your information to a real estate agent or broker in exchange for a referral fee may be considered a “sale” of personal information. We do this only when you ask to be connected with an agent or broker. We do not otherwise sell personal information. You may withdraw a connection request or opt out of future sales at any time by contacting us at the address below.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Services, including to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences (such as dismissed tips), and to store the randomly generated visitor identifier described above. We do not use these technologies for third-party advertising. You can clear or block them through your browser settings, but some features of the Services may not function properly if you do.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use our website and to improve it. Clarity uses cookies and similar technologies to record how you interact with the Services, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movements, and to produce usage reports, heatmaps and session replays. Microsoft may collect and use this information as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. We do not use Clarity for advertising.

6. Text Messages

We send a one-time verification code by text message to the telephone number you provide. Message and data rates may apply. We do not use your telephone number for marketing text messages.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Reports you unlock remain available for the life of your account. When you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it, such as to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Property information that does not identify you may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights and Choices

• Account and preferences. You may review and update your home search preferences at any time from your account.
• Marketing emails. You may unsubscribe from newsletters using the link in any such email. We may still send you transactional messages about your account.
• Access, correction and deletion. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
• Opt out of sale. You may opt out of the sale of your personal information as described above.

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and in any event within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. United States Only

The Services are intended for use in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Services before the changes take effect.
